Beehives are placed in countless gardens in the region: Our 2023 Christmas campaign in retrospect

Do you like the blog? Let us know.

We have been doing without Christmas presents for our customers for several years now. In return, we support projects in the region.

Last Christmas gift 2023 was a little different than before. To make our gardens more bee-friendly, we gave away shrubs that provide an important food source for the busy pollinators. The following five bee-friendly shrubs were selected with the plant show:

  • Common viburnum - Viburnum opulus
  • Viburnum lantana - Viburnum lantana
  • Cornelian cherry - Cornus mas
  • Copper rock pear - Amelanchier lamarckii
  • Lavender willow - Salix elaeagnos 'Angustifolia'

Our customers and newsletter fans were able to reserve one of these bee bushes. At the beginning of April, the time had finally come: the bee bushes could be collected directly from the plant show.

We are delighted that we were able to inspire the region with our Christmas campaign. The shrubs are now providing new food sources for bees in countless gardens. Many thanks to everyone who was part of our 2023 Christmas campaign.
