The Seewiese residential development in Rapperswil is located between the railway track and the lake. The curved shape of the residential development was also incorporated into the landscaping. The main path leads to the various house entrances in a similarly curved line. The planted areas are also designed in the same shape and are always arranged slightly differently throughout the site.
Curved paths & design elements
The „planters“ along the main path are particularly striking. They symbolise the proximity to the lake and at the same time provide accents. The raised planting beds can be used as seating and lend structure to the outdoor space.
The entrance to the underground car park and the visitor parking spaces are located outside the residential development, so that the area between the buildings remains free of traffic. This creates a wonderful oasis of calm despite the proximity to the railway and road.
