Small change, big impact

Whether large or small: in principle, any patio can be turned into a relaxing retreat. Even in smaller spaces, there are a wide range of design options and a countless selection of plants. The available space should be utilised as sensibly as possible without appearing overloaded. There are also many different ways to create a privacy screen, such as the wood used here. An optimal privacy screen provides the desired privacy on the patio. Depending on the amount of sunlight and the location, a privacy screen can also provide perfect shade.

Before and after the remodelling

This terrace was given a suitable privacy screen during the remodelling. The natural materials and planting liven up the atmosphere of the terrace.

Privacy screen & shade provider: all in one

Attic terraces are often very exposed. Due to the sunlight, it can get very hot on the terrace, especially in summer, which is why sun protection is an advantage. This should definitely be taken into account in the planning. With this Terrace remodelling was focussed precisely on the topic of sun protection and privacy.

To make the most of the space, a wooden dining area was built in the corner of the terrace. The bench invites you to enjoy a cosy dinner or to end the day in peace. The best thing about it is that the wooden bench is also ideal as a privacy screen and sunshade. So you can benefit twice over. The high wooden walls shade the patio perfectly so that you can enjoy the summer despite plenty of sunshine.

Planting on the terrace

Plants bring life to the outdoor living room. Many different types of woody plants also thrive in larger containers. Our partner Amadeo Ambiente offers countless different planters. Different troughs were also used on this attic terrace to create new visual relationships and a sense of space. The wood of the bench also extends around the maple and elegantly completes the dining area. On the previously empty house wall, there is now a trough with lavender, which is currently blooming beautifully and attracting bees, bumblebees and butterflies. The lavender runs through the terrace, creating soft lines and plenty of colour. Thanks to the colourful maple and lavender, the patio is transformed into a permanent oasis of well-being.
