Before the redesign, the great potential of this garden lay fallow. A lawn dominated the picture, bordered only by a hedge as a privacy screen. At the client's request, a modern overflow pool was added to the garden. Thanks to the elegant overflow channel, the pool blends harmoniously into the garden and creates a bright accent. Sustainability and beauty are perfectly combined here.
Natural elegance thanks to the overflow pool
The term overflow pool is derived from the overflow edge, which is lower than in a conventional pool due to the special design. As a result, the water runs down over the rear edge of the pool, giving the impression of a frameless pool where the water surface and the bottom appear to merge at the same level. This optical illusion gives the garden a very special charm.
The crystal-clear water shines in the sunshine and invites you to splash around. The surrounding pool area consists of a wooden deck, which contributes to the warm atmosphere. On hot summer days, the wood does not heat up too much, which means that the family's kitten can also take relaxing afternoon naps on it.
Harmonious interplay between nature and technology
The pool's technology also has a lot to offer. The client deliberately decided against chemical water purification and opted for the Living Pool Technology. The cold water is therefore particularly gentle on the skin and eyes, giving you the feeling of swimming in a mountain lake. The treatment method is not only environmentally friendly, but also sustainable. The entire technology is stylishly concealed under the wooden deck.
The overflow pool also has a counter-current system that provides additional fun and exercise in your own pool. The strength of the system can be easily controlled via an app. This allows you to complete a personalised workout in your own garden.
The pool lounge as an oasis of relaxation
The inviting pool lounge invites you to spend cosy hours, whether for an afternoon of reading or in the company of friends. The lounge is located under a louvred roof that opens and closes automatically. On particularly hot summer days, it makes it possible to create a pleasant shady spot. The semi-open design creates an interesting pattern on the floor. Here the family can sit back, enjoy the peace and quiet and admire the enchanting view over the pool.
A diverse selection of plants for garden design
Before the remodelling, the terrace was small and manageable. Now it has been enlarged and complemented by a suitable selection of plants. Particular attention has been paid to the existing cornus, whose white flowers will mark the transition to the bathing season in early summer.
Part of the existing lawn was retained to give the outdoor living room a spacious ambience and allow the view to wander around undisturbed. The planting around the overflow pool has been made more generous: A wide variety of flowers and two solitary trees create a relaxed ambience and more privacy. Sage blossoms behind the lounge, adding a refreshing splash of colour to the feel-good oasis.
