The garden of this two-storey detached house has been redesigned on both levels. On the upper level, a new modern lounge area offers more space to linger, while the lower level is dominated by a green lawn.
A change that can be seen
The change to the family garden is very impressive and clearly visible. Where wild shrubs previously dominated, there is now an open area with a lounge. The garden has been significantly enlarged on both levels.
The garden before and after the remodelling
Impressive result
The family garden has undergone a major transformation. In the past, both levels were full of wild shrubs, which meant that the space could only be used to a limited extent. The aim was to create more space and optimise it. The newly gained areas and the resulting spaces are the highlights of the redesign of this family garden. A new view of the surroundings and the surrounding mountains opens up. At the same time, the new planting ensures privacy.
An outdoor living and dining room
On the upper level there was wild planting, which was removed and completely redesigned. The previously unused space was also enlarged with a wooden deck. Raising the wooden deck creates yet another level, so that not only is more space generated, but more excitement flows into the design of the different areas.
The planting on all sides creates a gentle boundary, creating an open overall look. On the lounge, you can enjoy the beautiful flowering plants, which bring a lovely play of colour to this area. The view sweeps across to the front area of the upper level, where there is a dining table with a fire bowl. The fire pit not only provides barbecue fun but also a wonderfully warm ambience, especially on colder evenings.
As well as enjoying the barbecue, the family can also look forward to home-grown herbs and fruit, as a spacious kitchen garden has been planted behind the detached house. Nothing is missing: from berry bushes to various herbs such as rosemary, sage, thyme, lemon balm and oregano, the kitchen garden offers many future flavour explosions.
Impressions of the family garden in summer
The garden is not only versatile thanks to the varied planting, but also thanks to the versatile and harmonious material concept. The impressive natural stone walls, which run through all levels, are a special design element. The beautiful walls lead through the different areas and levels. On the lower level, the large natural stone wall in front of the staircase immediately catches the eye. In summer as well as in autumn, this area captivates with its abundance of flowers thanks to the surrounding panicle hydrangeas. The connection between the two floors has a flowing and dreamy effect.
Magnificent autumn
While lush green grasses and eye-catching purple and white flowers adorn the family garden in summer, autumn shines with beautiful panicle hydrangeas. The family garden is transformed into a magical place. The colours become calmer in autumn without the garden losing any of its charm.
A planting concept for every season
The generous planting concept offers a wonderful sea of flowers at any time of year. Different harmonious colours always give the family garden an impressive look. Some large plants also provide the garden with a little shade. The different flowering periods of the plants mean that the garden changes again and again throughout the year. A change is particularly noticeable in the high stone wall (hydrangeas), see for yourself:
