Counter-current system in pools: swimming like in the sea

Do you like the blog? Please let us know.

A counter-current system enables extended swimming training in your own pool without constant turning. We explain how the counter-current system works and how it is installed in the pool.

Natural current in the pool

A counter-current system creates a circulation in the water and thus a natural current, just like in open water. The strength of the current can be adjusted in stages, making powerful swimming in the pool possible - even without constantly turning at the edge of the pool. The intensity of swimming training can therefore vary from day to day.

How the counter-current system works

A pump, which is stowed in a separate technical shaft, draws water from the pool, mixes the water with air and forces it back into the pool through pipes via a nozzle. This circulation creates a natural current and guarantees a steady flow of water.

The air admixture, which influences the strength of the flow, can be adjusted as required. The counter-current system can be switched on and off using a switch.

The counter-current system is also childproof. The turbine is stowed in the technical shaft behind the pool wall and is inaccessible to children.

The counter-current system is suitable for these pools

A counter-current system can be installed in pools with a minimum length of around six meters. The water treatment does not matter, because it does not matter whether it is a conventional chlorine pool or a natural pool with Living Pool technology: The counter-current system has no influence on the water quality.

We have already installed such a counter-current system for many customers. The technology is an integral part of planning a garden with a pool. Depending on the type of pool, a counter-current system can also be retrofitted to an existing pool. If this is not possible, a pool trainer can be installed at the edge of the pool as an alternative.

Swimming - healthy and effective

Swimming uses the muscle groups of the whole body, which is why swimming is a holistic workout that builds strength and endurance. As we only weigh about a tenth of our weight in the water, swimming is an endurance sport that is easy on the joints.
