The garden of a detached house in the Zurich Oberland is being redesigned and renovated. Where previously a plain meadow dominated, a structured garden with different seating areas was created. The redesigned and partially covered seating area next to the house has natural stone slabs that harmonize perfectly with the surroundings. The newly laid turf and individual paving slabs lead to the second seating area in this garden: a wooden deck at the end of the garden is suitable as an open-air relaxation area with a view of the surrounding landscape. An umbrella-shaped oak tree provides shade in this area. A border planted with shrubs and perennials serves as a border and privacy screen to the neighboring property.
New retaining wall made of natural stone
The existing embankment facing the road will be renewed and modernized by using natural stone. A small kitchen garden will also be created in the middle section of the embankment for the client: vegetables and berries will be planted here in future. At the same time, the division of the retaining wall creates an airy overall appearance from the street.
