The focal point of this garden is the large fountain and the half-height natural stone wall, which sets the scene for the vines at the back of the garden. The natural stone used and the wooden deck all around blend harmoniously into the natural surroundings. The water feature provides additional naturalness and draws the eye to the wonderful view beyond.
The garden before & after

Wine tastings in the open air
This garden is not only used by the owners, but also by their guests. At the back of the garden are five rows of vines, which are used for the hotel's own wine production, among other things. The garden offers a unique area for wine tasting.
A U-shaped wooden deck has been created in front of an existing conservatory. Where previously there was a simple lawn that was difficult to use for tastings, a wonderful open-air lounge area has now been created. From here you can enjoy a wonderful view of the surrounding mountains. A particular highlight is the fountain in the middle of the gravel area, which forms a decorative border to the vines. The natural stone wall to the side of the fountain can be used as a seating element and provides additional structure to the garden.

Planting in the garden
The new planting emphasizes the simple and elegant style of the garden. Two existing spherical Norway maples were supplemented by two more at the end of one of the wooden deck wings. The rear part of the garden is an agricultural zone, which is why the garden was visually separated by a planting strip. Evergreen and flowering shrubs frame the garden, while the purple lavender provides a subtle splash of color.
