The owners of this large property wanted a spacious swimming pond in their existing garden. A swimming pond with a curved shape was created below the embanked lawn. It blends in perfectly with the existing structures of the garden and becomes the connecting element between the garden and the breathtaking view of the lake.
The garden during & after the redesign

A wonderful view
The lounge on the wooden deck in the upper part of the garden is the perfect place to relax. From here, you can look out over the lake and the mountains. Meanwhile, an old, existing tree provides shelter and shade in summer.
The wide wooden staircase leads down to the swimming pond and is picked up again as a sun deck on the left-hand side of the swimming pond. The irregular step height - sometimes at sitting height, sometimes at step height - means that the steps can be used both as a lounger and as a seat.

Planting in the garden
The existing red Jura quartz sandstone paving was connected to the swimming pond by stepping slabs. Reeds, lavender and boxwood on both sides of the swimming pond and the tall trees behind the regeneration zone break up the dominant surface and create a gentle transition to the adjacent woodland.
