Sandra Stƶckli and her family are real globetrotters - they spend almost half a year travelling. Between training camps and competitions, relaxation is essential in order to achieve top performances in sport. That's why they wanted a personal garden paradise with a fountain - an oasis of calm to recover from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
In the video, two-time overall World Cup winner in Para-Cycling, Sandra Stƶckli, talks personally about her vision and how she experienced the reorganisation.
A fountain as the centrepiece of the new garden
One of the family's main wishes was to integrate the element of water into their green retreat. After a personalised consultation, they opted for an elegant fountain with a chrome steel basin. The integrated waterspout provides a gentle ripple that makes you forget the stress of everyday life and creates a calming atmosphere.
The fountain also unfolds its full effect at night: in the dark, the cleverly placed spotlights come into play and make the water glow. This means that the garden remains a magical place of relaxation even after sunset.
Year-round planting and perfect lawn care
Before the remodelling, the outdoor area looked unimpressive and clear edges dominated the overall picture. The lawn was matted, meaning that the robot mower regularly got caught up during its work. Our team therefore gave the lawn a makeover: felt and moss were removed by scarifying in particular. This improved the gas and water balance in the soil, allowing nutrients to reach the roots better. Reseeding in bare patches ensured lush, soft green.
Curved lines were integrated into the garden redesign to break up the previously linear garden. A new planting strip below the hedge provides colourful accents and enjoyment with its year-round flowering perennials. Shades of pink and purple provide a lively contrast to the green of the lawn.
Holiday feeling in the open-air living room
After this garden design, Sandra Stƶckli can look forward to her cosy retreat after an intense competition. While she enjoys the peace and quiet with her family in the lounge, the new fountain provides an acoustic highlight - a gentle ripple that immediately puts her in a holiday mood. Here, she can recharge her batteries for the challenges ahead - and set off on new sporting feats feeling fully refreshed.
