A harmonious family garden, which we have accompanied for many years, stretches along three sides of the house and delights with its inviting design and living pool. To make optimum use of the space, we placed particular emphasis on diagonal visual relationships that gently guide the view along the house and create a generous effect.
Seating area under the blue rain
The living room leads to a covered dining area surrounded by a variety of plants. In spring, the flowering dogwood begins to bloom and the flower clusters of the Japanese blue vine blow in the wind. Under its shade is a seating area from which the bathing area is already visible.
A chemical-free swimming pool surrounded by different planting zones
At the center of the garden shines an impressive Living Pool, which does not require any chemical additives and is equipped with a water spout. The turquoise blue shimmers in the sun and the splashing of the water acoustically shapes the garden and creates a natural soundscape. A wooden deck with an outdoor lounger is slightly elevated. Here you can spend hours by the water.
The large trees next to the wooden deck provide pleasant shade. Due to their size, they also serve as a privacy screen, as there is a small area hidden behind them. Ferns grow up under the trees, adding a natural flair to the garden and greening the shady area. On the more exposed side of the wooden deck is a planting strip with sun-loving aquilegia, the magnificent candle and much more. They break up the green privacy screen and round off the transition from the hedge to the decking.
Along the side of the house, a green carpet of midday flowers (Delosperma cooperi) adorns the garden. These fascinating flowers awaken under the warm touch of the sun's rays and transform the area into a bright pink. In summer, a pink carpet of beautiful flowers appears at midday, creating a beautiful contrast to the blue of the Living Pool. In between, a red maple tree rises up, interrupting the surface of the house and making the area more natural. At the back of the bathing area is a gravel area, which creates a perfect retreat under the protective canopy of three fruitless mulberry trees.
Fireplace for the whole year
Just a few steps away from the Living Pool is another little gem. There is a fireplace among the lavender and flowering shrubs. This is a great place to spend pleasant evenings by the fire, even in fall and winter. The rather unused area has been transformed into a wonderful part of the garden.
The successful combination of a swimming pool, a variety of plants and lovingly designed quiet zones makes this family garden a place to relax and unwind all year round.
