The Platten retirement centre in Meilen is getting an additional house for its residents. Following the redesign of the outdoor area, residents will find plenty of space for relaxation and tranquillity in nature. Simple concrete and asphalt surfaces lead through the spacious grounds, while cosy benches in various corners provide seating in the open air. Great importance is attached to biodiversity. Near-natural planting and natural elements such as deadwood piles, clay mounds and sand lenses provide natural food and ideal nesting sites for native animals and insects.
Place of power by the water
The small natural pond will be a particular highlight of the retirement centre's landscaping. It can already be recognised and will offer residents and their visitors a secluded spot by the water. With a view of Lake Zurich, this area blends in perfectly with its surroundings. We are responsible for the entire realisation of the landscaping and are keeping track of the progress here in our blog.
