Gardening tip: Automatic watering for your plants

Do you like the blog? Please let us know.

New planting in particular requires sufficient water until the roots penetrate deep into the soil. However, existing plants also need to be supplied with sufficient water, especially on hot summer days. Automatic irrigation systems are a popular solution for providing plants with a regular supply of water - even during holidays.

In our gardening tip, we give you an overview of the whole topic.

Drip-precise irrigation for your plants

With the help of irrigation systems, the individual plants can be watered at the right time. At the touch of a button, each plant receives exactly the amount of water it needs. The Drip irrigation saves up to 70% water, as the technology allows the water to penetrate the soil at one point and spread out from there drop by drop. As a result, the water evaporates and becomes much more water-retaining, which helps to save water.

Such a system is not only suitable for large gardens, but can also be used on smaller areas or patios with planters without any problems. Terraces in particular are often exposed and exposed to the sun all day long. The plants in the pots cannot develop deep roots to absorb water. In such cases, individual drippers are very suitable.

Especially during the summer holidays, it can be difficult to find someone to water your garden. With an automatic watering system in your garden, you no longer have to ask your neighbours for help. The automatic system waters your plants regularly at the right time when they need it.

Underground irrigation for the lawn

Larger lawns need an optimal water supply, which is not always easy. It can quickly happen that one side looks better looked after than the other because it has not been watered evenly. This is where so-called Pop-up sprinkler on. They ensure that the area is watered evenly. The best thing about them is that they return to the ground after use and do not interfere with mowing afterwards.

Rainwater - Only the best for your pets

Water is an extremely valuable resource that we use in vast quantities. On average, we need around five litres a day for drinking and cooking. A further 157 litres per day are used for flushing the toilet, washing, cleaning, showering and gardening. There is no question about it, that rainwater is of the best quality for your plants. The Rainwater is lime-free and contains important nutrients for your pets. At the same time, you can save money and conserve one of the most valuable resources.

This is made possible by installing an underground or above-ground rainwater tank. The water flows directly into the tank via a connection on the downpipe, which is available in various designs. This means there is a suitable solution for every garden and patio.

Save time with the Smart Garden

Smartphones and tablets already make our lives easier in many ways. Why shouldn't this also be possible for watering the garden or patio? Soil moisture sensors can be used to determine exactly whether the plants need water or not. At the same time, weather forecasts can be factored into the final decision.

The entire irrigation system can be controlled and planned via an app. Above all, this saves you time, which you can then use to enjoy your outdoor living room. Even if you are away from home, for example on holiday, the automation can take over the task of watering. This means your plants are perfectly cared for until you return.
