The surrounding design of the new building on Alte Jonastrasse appears calm and serene thanks to its curved lines. The well thought-out planting of the centrally located new building brings nature back into the building. The surroundings were planned to be barrier-free. The concrete paving stones emphasise the naturalness of the surroundings.
Planting concept
The planting is characterised by magnificent specimen trees such as Quercus petraea (sessile oak), Liquidambar styraciflua (amber tree) and Amelanchier lamarckii (copper rock pear). In between, small shrubs and bushes create a flowering environment. Pink-flowering globe hydrangeas and Calicarpa bodinieri (beautiful fruit) were used here. Grasses such as Pennisetum alopecuroides (feather bristle grass), carpet Japanese sedge (Carex morrowii āIrish Greenā) and sun-tolerant perennials such as Echinace purpurea (Pupur's coneflower) were chosen for the sunny areas.
