We are fast approaching the end of the year. We look back and are delighted with the countless exciting projects that we were able to realise in 2019. In addition to sensational large-scale projects and individual private gardens, we also have many other highlights and innovations to report this year.
Our year 2019 - Part 1
January / February
- In order to receive direct feedback from our employees, we have set up the Team Council.
- Our second Employee movie goes online - a big surprise for our entire team!
- Three of the gardens we built won awards, one of which even made it into the top five Gardens of the year 2019.
March
- We are celebrating the annual spring festival in our Gartenvilla show garden in Aathal and look forward to welcoming many visitors. The focus will be on the newly built Swiss SPA pool with a sandy beach look.
April
- At the management report on «Transport and load securing», our site managers, foremen and machine operators learn the correct use of lashing straps and how to lash down loads correctly.
- Our construction management team takes a trip together to Munich to one of the largest construction trade fairs in the world.
May
- Our team gets new workwear. Trousers and jackets for all weathers are now bright yellow and ensure greater safety on our construction sites.
- We enjoy our annual Töggeli tournament - one of our favourite team events. More than 100 participants compete for victory.
June
- We introduce our internal employee app and use it to keep our team of over 100 people up to date.
July
- We enjoy a cosy barbecue evening with the whole team at this year's summer party in the best weather.
- With our film series «A day with...» we accompany one team member for a whole day. We start our short film series with our construction foreman Harry Küchler.
- Pool relocation by helicopter: an incredible experience and great teamwork!
Our year 2019 - part 2
August
- Four apprentices start their training with us and tell us more about their first week at work.
- The Pools & Swimming Ponds information day takes place in our Gartenvilla show garden. Managing Director and pool expert Daniel Egli will be on site to welcome visitors to the show garden and explain the different construction methods, cleaning methods, shapes and possible equipment.
September
- We accompany Anita Züger, one of our customer gardeners, for a whole day with the camera for our short film series. In the film «A day with...Anita Züger», she tells us more about her exciting day-to-day work.
- Interview with Thomann utility vehicles: In an interview for a short film, our Managing Director Christian Egli tells us more about the use of utility vehicles in horticulture and about our team, who are passionate about their work.
- Our Christmas present this year goes to a social project in the region. We decided to help rebuild a forest sofa for the 5th grade at the Busskirch school.
october
- Managing Director Christian Egli takes part in an interview for the OLMeRO tendering platform. We accompany the interview with the camera and provide a look behind the scenes.
- The second management report this year is all about first aid. All site managers and foremen take part in an instructive afternoon and can learn and refresh their knowledge on this important topic.
- Our construction management team takes a trip to the Bärlocher quarry in Staad, where the processing of the sandstone is clearly explained during a guided tour of the quarry.
- We accompany Sokol Tahiri, one of our foremen, for a whole day with the camera for our short film series. The result is the film «A day with...Sokol Tahiri», in which Sokol gives us an insight into his exciting day-to-day work.
November
- For our short film series, we accompany another foreman for a whole day with the camera and publish the film «A day with...Lukas Ambühl».
- We enjoy our annual Christmas party with the whole team in the parish hall Rapperswil-Jona.
Farewell 2019
One last time we look back on our year 2019 and enjoy our photo collection. We look forward to another exciting financial year and wish everyone happy holidays and a happy new year!
