This garden is divided into two areas: On the left, a retreat with a wooden deck and cosy lounge, on the right, the slightly elevated dining area by the barbecue. As the neighbourhood will soon be changing, the garden was to be given more privacy and restructured. The lounge area was thus retained. The impressive trees were also incorporated into the new design. They were moved to their new positions during a spectacular operation.
Playful planting for a romantic ambience
The new planting concept frames the family's neighbourhood garden, creating curved and soft lines. The two Japanese maples cast a wonderful play of shadows on the wood and lawn area. Thanks to the new positioning, the lounge area is now under a sheltered canopy of leaves. The newly created sense of space thus contributes to greater privacy and naturalness.
The new dining area is located on the opposite side of the lounge. The paved surface extends from the entrance to the house via the covered area at the side of the house to the dining area at the rear. The curved pattern in the paving gives the garden a playful and romantic feel. Different wicker pots were chosen for individual plants to match, harmonising perfectly with the style of the garden. The customer also added a personal touch with different decorations.
Planting concept for a wonderful autumn garden
What could be better than natural shade? Lying on the lounge, you can look into a treetop that moves gently with the wind. A little sun shines through here and there between the leaves. This garden is a particular highlight in autumn. The green leaves turn into magnificent treetops with different shades of red. The newly planted grasses (Miscanthus & Pennisetum) are in full bloom and frame the property. The water feature provides a natural acoustic backdrop. This creates a high level of privacy even in the middle of the neighbourhood.
