This biopool is the new centrepiece of this family garden. Another highlight is the curved line of the wooden deck, which, in combination with the crystal-clear water, creates an incomparable holiday feeling.
The garden before the remodelling
Embankment as a garden highlight
At first glance, the slope within the outdoor room may appear to be a disadvantage. But this does not always have to be the case. A slope in particular can be transformed into an incredible highlight that sets the outdoor space apart from others. This was also the case here. Due to the slope, it appears as if the new biopool extends out of the lawn, which creates a visual enlargement. This makes the already generous lawn area appear even more spacious and the difference in height gives the outdoor space a new dimension.
To ensure that the swimming pool merges gently into the lawn, the pool wall was embellished with sun-loving plants all round. They attract everyone's attention without concealing the difference in height too much. The overall appearance of the new retreat oasis allows the gaze to wander unhindered and the soul to come to rest.
The swimming pool was integrated into the embankment
The usable area in this garden was not optimal due to the slope. With the swimming pool, the new decking and the curved wooden deck, a wonderful combination of materials was chosen and the slope was integrated into the garden design.
Biopool with curved sunbathing area
The new biopool is located in the centre of the garden, turning it into a true water paradise. The anthracite-coloured skimmer pool gives the water a rich blue hue that invites you into the refreshing water. Particularly noteworthy is the innovative biofilter that Living Pool Technology. It purifies the water without any chemical additives, so there is no irritation to the skin or eyes. This means that every swim feels absolutely natural and the whole family can enjoy their bathing paradise unhindered.
Inside the biopool, four steps lead into the water, making it easy to get in. There is also a small underwater bench at the other end, which has two advantages. On the one hand, you can sit or lie on it on warm summer days, and on the other hand, the cover is hidden underneath, which saves a lot of space.
The sunbathing and lounge area is located next to the pool. The wooden deck makes the outdoor space appear warmer. To break up the clear edges and lines of the family garden, the deck has a curved design. This breaks up the modern patterns and adds a certain looseness.
New planting in harmony with the existing
Many of the trees and shrubs in the garden today were already there. However, the redesign left a few spots open for more green favourites. For this reason, more trees and shrubs were added to the existing ones. Attention was paid to the needs and locations of the respective plants. Sun-loving perennials were placed in exposed locations, while the shade-loving plants embellish the respective shrubs from below.
The planting island next to the lounge stands out strikingly. The existing birch trees have been complemented by the cranesbill. The delicate purple flowers create a summery flair with their elegant appearance. The plant is also known for being easy to care for.
The sunbathing area forms a further flowing transition to the terracing. Luserna gneiss natural stone was used in front of the house. The slabs have a light colour and are barely noticeable in the transition. In addition, the material blends harmoniously with the adjacent wood and helps to promote the division of space.
As a family centre, the new biopool delights young and old alike. The visual extension of the garden by means of the embankment is an interesting aspect that attracts everyone's attention. Next to it, you can relax with an exciting book and the refreshing coolness of the water is just a stone's throw away.
