When we look back on these eight decades today, one thing above all fills us: pride. Pride that, as a family business, we are already in our third generation. Pride that we have not only preserved what was handed down to us, but have actively developed it further with our own entrepreneurial spirit.

A story that connects generations
It all began in 1946, when Walter Egli and his wife Heidi laid the foundations for the company we know today. Since then, each generation has contributed its own ideas. A key milestone came in 1977, when Ueli Egli set up a branch in Wagen, Rapperswil-Jona, and made the business legally independent in 1992.
Since 2006, we have been going as egli jona ag modern and innovative approaches. In 2010, Christian and Daniel Egli, finally in the third generation, took over the management. For them, it was always clear: «We don't just want to manage the legacy, but actively shape it.» This attitude forms the basis of our entrepreneurial thinking to this day.
Learned the trade from the ground up
That we can look to the future with vision today is thanks to our deep roots in craftsmanship. Christian and Daniel Egli are not just entrepreneurs, they are passionate gardeners. Just like their father and grandfather before them, they learned the trade from the ground up and worked on construction sites themselves – a tradition that can still be felt today in the quality of our gardens.
Innovation from tradition: The world of water
A central element of our development is the theme of water in the garden. What began in the 90s with Ueli Egli with conventional natural swimming pools has continuously evolved over the decades and has become one of our core competencies. Through this long tradition in Pool construction we have built up a wealth of experience. Today, we design and create technically sophisticated water features – from natural-looking ponds to modern Living Pool – and we do that with passion and soul.
This development exemplifies how we work: we observe the market, learn, and develop further. Our aim is not to blindly follow trends, but to create meaningful solutions that meet our quality standards, bring long-term satisfaction to our customers, and which perfectly fulfil the desire for health and relaxation in your own garden.

The garden is increasingly gaining importance as a personal living space. Especially in a fast-paced world, one's own home is becoming ever more important. We are convinced that this trend will continue and see great potential for our work in this.
Our wish for the next 20 years?
That we may continue to bring such wonderful projects to life, improving a little every day. That we remain open to new ideas whilst staying true to our values. And, of course, we hope that in a few years’ time, the fourth generation will be ready to take the helm and continue our story with the same love of nature.
